Customizable NFD features for specific nodes

2. What is the nature and description of the request ?

The  nodefeaturerule does not allow them to match the rules with existing node label.   It allows them to create specific label for matching rules.

NFD discovery operator does not allow them to create automatic labels on specific nodes. It creates label on all worker nodes. 

They just want to enable node discovery for specific nodes not for all nodes. They do not want to create custom label.  

3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

The default NFD configuration creates so many labels on all worker nodes. They would like to have manage their platforms more easily without creating unnecessary label on nodes.  They would like to enable nfd for only node which has bmworker or gpuworker role labels.

Openshift NFD Operator
