• Support for Persistent Volume Read/Write I/O Metrics and Visualization in Open Shift

2.What is the nature and description of the request?

• Currently, Open Shift does not provide direct metrics for read and write I/O operations on persistent volumes. While the Disk I/O Utilization dashboard offers an overview of disk activity, it lacks granularity in distinguishing between read and write operations. We are requesting the addition of: Separate metrics for Read and Write I/O operations on persistent volumes. A dashboard or visualization method to monitor these metrics independently.

• Performance Monitoring: Understanding the read/write behavior of applications is critical for diagnosing performance bottlenecks and optimizing storage configurations.
