Exceptional Process to upgrade ROSA to a blocked version.
2. What is the nature and description of the request?
Need to have an exceptional process to upgrade ROSA to a blocked version.
3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
A customer has multiple ROSA clusters, such as 4 clusters, and they upgrade ROSA clusters one by one.
It takes 3 months to finish upgrading all the ROSA clusters.
They have to have the same version on all ROSA clusters based on their operational rule.
When a ROSA cluster is blocked from upgrading to a particular version after the rest of them have already been upgraded to the same version, they want to upgrade the ROSA cluster to the same version as the rest of the ROSA clusters.
In the current situation, they have to start over from choosing a target version, which brings a lot of frustration and operational burden.
They want an exceptional process to accomplish the above through support cases or other processes.
They want to clarify what the risk is through a support case, and they make a decision.
