The current documentation mentions a rigid condition in the Pull model between the hub argocd instance and the managed one required to be in the same version. After a discussion with Mike Ng, it might be better to formulate it like this: "this specific requirement must only be satisfied at the installation phase of the hub and managed. Then, in the life-cycle of both instance we can say that it's "preferred" that both the hub and managed instance have the same version. If it's not the case, and unless there's a breaking change with a specific CR, being not aligned shouldn't compromise the correct functioning and the supportability of openshift-gitops.
