1. Proposed title of this feature request
[RFE] Provide links to each layered product's specific infrastructure node documentation
2. What is the nature and description of the request?
To make understanding openshift subscriptions usage of "infrastructure nodes" a little bit easier by helping customers find each layered products documentation about them more easily.
3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
How a layered product or operator identifies an infrastructure node determines how the customer is charged; it can be hard to track this information. Providing a direct link in the Subscription guide's Subscription Requirements for OpenShift Node Types and Features (https://www.redhat.com/en/resources/self-managed-openshift-subscription-guide#section-4) section will make this easier and quicker for customers to do.
4. List any affected packages or components.
At this time the layered products included in the guide include (I'd suggest each PM team adds the desired link required for their product/operator:
- OpenShift registry
- OpenShift Ingress Router (local and global and multicluster ingress)
- OpenShift monitoring
- OpenShift log management
- HAProxy-based instances used for cluster ingress
- Red Hat Quay
- Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation
- Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes
- Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes
- Red Hat OpenShift GitOps
- Red Hat OpenShift Pipelines
- Hosted control planes for Red Hat OpenShift
Each needs to be linked to the relevant docs page covering infrastructure nodes.
