In order to allow external communication through an egress IP on OCI, there has to be a similar egress configuration added in the OCI manager. 

OCI Configuration for egress IP:

• Add the egress IP as a secondary IP of the OCP node that has the egress IP.
• When the egress shifts to another node due to maintenance or some other issues, again delete the existing egress configuration and configure the same egress IP as a secondary interface IP of the new egress node. 
• This configuration doesn't help with failover.  

The customer has requested for a feature request  where OCP egress controller must connect to the OCI API and do the required egress configuration on OCI platform.
