      1. Proposed title of this feature request
        • Compliance Operator Ephemeral Disk option
      2. What is the nature and description of the request?
        • The Customer needs to run the compliance scans but does not want to maintain the persistent storage within the cluster.
          • Managing storage causes issues like keeping data in sync, making backups etc.
        • The Compliance Operator requires Persistent Storage at the moment.
      3. Why does the Customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
        • The Customer has an architecture idea to treat clusters as cattle.
          • does not want to manage storage in the clusters (wherever possible)
          • applications need to backup themselves, think about own resilience etc.
        • While using compliance operator if one makes scan setting binding and runs scans there are two output streams:
          • first one makes PVC and it starts uploading ARF results to that PVC.
          • another stream goes to configmap xccdf (raw xml output).
        • xccdf output that goes to the config map -> that's the output Customer is looking for. The short output essentially.
        • The customer does not need ARF output on the PVC.
        • There is no possibility to skip creating PVCs and uploading RAW results at the moment. There is no option to do that.
      4. List any affected packages or components.
        • Red Hat Openshift Container Platform Compliance Operator
