      1. Proposed title of this feature request

NUMA-aware scheduler integrated with eviction manager

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?

Lower priority pods should be evicted in favor of higher priority pods.
If there are pod priorities defined, and this pod has higher priority than others already deployed, NUMA aware scheduler will try to evict a lower priority pod so that the higher priority one can fit.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

Telco customer is using NUMA aware scheduler with single NUMA policy and more than 50 application workloads (amongst 5g-c workloads and business applications). Certain critical pods can tend to occuppy falf a NUMA node if not more. And if this pod cannot fit into any single NUMA node that fulfills its criteria because lower priority pods are occupying that node the pod will get into pending state. Customer requires that if this pod has higher priority than others already deployed in that node, NUMA aware scheduler will evict a lower priority pod or pods so that the higher priority one can fit.

This can happen frequently during day2-live environments, if a node fails or needs to be upgraded and the pods need to be migrated to other nodes.

Telco cluster are tightly coupled to reduce the footprint to the absolute minimum.

      4. List any affected packages or components.
