XMLWordPrintable

      1. Proposed title of this feature request

Support for Azure Dedicated Hosts in IPI installations

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?

Currently, using Azure Dedicated Hosts [1] is supported only following the "platform-agnostic" installation method, but not supported for IPI installations.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

Some customers require to have their application hosted on a dedicated infrastructure, not shared with any other Azure customer.

Using Azure Dedicated Hosts [1] will help to stringent security and regulatory requirements as hosting workloads on dedicated physical servers enhances data isolation and security, which is critical for some industries and customers. It can also help for performance-sensitive application by eliminating the "noisy neighbor" effect, and give greater flexibility on operability with a full control on host maintenance.

      4. List any affected packages or components.

      OpenShift Installer (IPI)
