*Problem: *What problem is the customer trying to solve?**
- The requirement is from Max and multiple teams at Unity. Customer is trying to manage large scale of clusters in StackRox so teams can look at their security data as well as on-board new clusters more efficiently. This requirement is beyond just on-boarding new clusters but also helps with ease of maintaining them.
Say, the ADs team has 40 clusters, every time you onboard a new cluster you would have to add it to scoped access plugin. Instead, you add to logical groups as you continue to onboard over the next couple of months. For ongoing use, as internal teams access SR, that team has to view data in 40 clusters. So, they can filter down by env / metadata / BU tags and filter down into the platform. Example: show me everything bad in prod clusters. Also, this will apply to policies workflows for devops teams that are creating policies, they can do scoping / notifiers etc by these logical groups. Without this feature, Max is stuck maintaining the scoped access plugin.
—
*Solution: *What is the specific feature request?**
- To have a logical grouping of clusters in StackRox by BUs or by environment (test/staging etc)
—
*Urgency: *What is this feature currently blocking? (e.g. initial deal, production, upsell, internal reporting, etc.)**
- It is blocking ease, scale and speed of adoption of StackRox across devops team at Unity.
—
*Timeline: *How long can we take to release this feature before it will cause friction with the customer?**
- Max wants to hear from us when we can fit this in. The sooner the better for him, but wants to hear our plans first.
