Currently, OCP installation using IPI only supports HTTP as the httpd server is started prior to ironic running. The BMC controller on Quanta servers only supports HTTPS as they removed HTTP support from their code per the request of their Telco customers for security purposes. The option to use PXE for mounting the iso, may not be available during field installation as there's no guarantee of L2 or L3 connection to the BMC.

Business impact:
All customers will need this not just for Quanta specific customer but other server types as security concerns rise.
