      1. Proposed title of this feature request

Adjust the image garbage collector dynamically based on disk size

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?

The current image garbage collector configuration is by default

      https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.15/nodes/nodes/nodes-nodes-garbage-collection.html

With larger disks i.e. 600GB these settings are not optimal and need to be adjusted by machine config.

There are articles like the following explaining that default settings are not optimal:

      https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/image-garbage-collection-in-openshift

It's difficult for the customer to find a suitable setting but it obviously depends on the size of the disk in use.

So it would be great to have formula to calculate good settings and apply it during install of new node(s).

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

Finding good settings is not easy as we don't have any formula. Not triggered Image Garbage Collection on larger disk can impact performance and use node resources unnecessarily.

      4. List any affected packages or components.

      MachineConfig, kubeletConfig
