      1. Proposed title of this feature request
      2. What is the nature and description of the request?

I currently have a customer from a case that is running into an issue due to LUNs in use being labeled over 255, which is the default limit. There currently is a method to work around this in RHEL, but the same method does not apply to OCP nodes running RHCOS. A secondary workaround was attempted with changing kernel parameters, but values cannot be changed without applying the change to a machine config and rolling that out. This is unsupported and untested currently as far as I know, leaving the customer without a documented method of increasing the LUN cap.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

The customer has hit this cap organically in their dev cluster, preventing new mounts. This is likely to occur in their prod cluster with more costly repercussions.
