1. Proposed title of this feature request
Allow specifying "Hostname Type" option for deployment of nodes in AWS.
2. What is the nature and description of the request?
Customer would like the option to specify the "Hostname Type" that nodes in AWS EC2-based clusters are deployed with. The allowed values are "IP name" or "Resource name". By default, the customer's nodes are deployed with hostnames based on "IP name". But they want the hostnames of the nodes to be based on "Resource name" as described in https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-instance-naming.html#instance-naming-types.
3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
As nodes are spun-up and spun-down in the customer's clusters over time, hostnames based on "IP name" are re-used. And as the same hostnames are used for different nodes over time, it affects the customer's ability perform long-term cost management reporting for their clusters accurately.
4. List any affected packages or components.
