- What is the nature and description of the request?
If the timeout specified in a task spec exceeds the overall piplinerun timeout, the pipeline run timeout wins.
We need to be able to specify an overall pipeline timeout in the pipeline spec, as currently, the pipeline is timing out after 1 hour when there is a task with a timeout of 3 hours. - Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
We need this because pipelines are currently failing. - How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
Similar to the timeout on a task Spec, please enable a timeout on the overall pipeline spec. - For each functional requirement listed in question 3, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented.
Have a basic pipeline with a single task that sleeps for 2 hours. Set a taskSpec timeout of 1 hr 30 min and a pipelines spec timeout of 1hr and 45 mins. The pipeline should timeout after 1 hour and 45 mins
