Ability to disable snapshots for EBS volumes
What is the nature and description of the request?:
Customer is looking at costs of their ROSA clusters. One significant driver of cost are the EBS snapshot costs. - EBS Storage Cost: 25.08 USD
- EBS Snapshot Cost: 56.88 USD
The customer would like to be able to disable snapshots for EBS volumes for OpenShift Container Platform Worker Nodes. These Worker Nodes can be recreated and the volumes do not contain any important data in most cases.
This request asks for a way to disable EBS snapshots for OpenShift Container Platform Worker Nodes.
Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here):
Customer would like to enable more use cases in his environment and would like to create more ROSA clusters. However, cost is a significant issue and the customer is looking for ways to reduce costs, such as disabling EBS snapshots.
