1. Proposed title of this feature request
Please, add the `Performance Plus` option to the `managed-csi` Storage class in Azure Deployments.
2. What is the nature and description of the request?
Please consider adding the 'Performance Plus' feature for the Azure storage class `managed-csi` by default. A description of this feature is available at this link. Quoting Microsoft documentation:
The Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS) and throughput limits for Azure Premium solid-state drives (SSD), Standard SSDs, and Standard hard disk drives (HDD) that are 513 GiB and larger can be increased by enabling performance plus. Enabling performance plus (preview) improves the experience for workloads that require high IOPS and throughput, such as database and transactional workloads. There's no extra charge for enabling performance plus on a disk.
3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
This will significantly increase the IOPS and throughput of 513+ GB PVs created using this storage class at no cost to the customers. As an example of the performance gain, please review the rows prefixed with the word 'Expanded' at this link.
This is particularly interesting for ODF deployments, which can be deployed with 1 and 2 Tb OSD sizes.
4. List any affected packages or components.
As mentioned before, the storage class `managed-csi`
