      1. Proposed title of this feature request

Enable Minimal ISO Extraction for s390x

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?

As a part of MULTIARCH-2889, and OCPPLAN-8327 more generally, we are enabling the Assisted Installer to deploy OpenShift ppc64le (Power) and s390x (Z) architectures. Part of the Assisted Installer's workflow is that the assisted-image-service generates a minimal and full ISO of CoreOS for the target architecture which can then be downloaded via API or UI and installed on the OCP nodes. Since the command
      coreos-installer iso extract minimal-iso <ISO>
Does not currently work on s390x architecture, it is the only architecture that cannot generate a minimal ISO.

I (jacob.emery) created a sub-task for enabling the extraction of a minimal ISO on s390x in the Multiarch epic, and spoke with jlebon1@redhat.com about it. He then created two PRs (in coreos-assembler and coreos-installer), which have not been merged yet, but look to be close in their CI/CD tests and have LGTM's from nikita-dubrovskii.

COS-1924 was created previously, but was closed by travier@redhat.com and he pointed me to create an RFE here.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

We have skipped minimal ISO extraction for s390x at the moment, since it is currently not possible, just so we are not blocked on this. This does mean that the UI team will have to flag/disable the minimal ISO option for s390x. So this is more for parity with other architectures.
      4. List any affected packages or components.

Assisted Installer's assisted-image-service, not sure about CoreOS specific components, but at least coreos-assembler and coreos-installer, as was indicated by jlebon1@redhat.com's PRs mentioned above.

I'm the IBM Partner Engineer for the Z side of MULTIARCH-2889, so please let me know if I can help in any way. Thanks a million!!
