To have an HTTP status code like 429 in the case when the rate-limiting on a specific route is reached

2. What is the nature and description of the request?

Using route annotations we can achieve the rate limit feature, but once the limit is reached the new connections are getting rejected/dropped without any regular HTTP code. For example HTTP 429.

 Users Affected, Customer-Portal does not show correct error messages.
