I followed the following steps:
- Create a new project in openshift console.
- Install Crunchy PostgreSQL operator and SBO in that namespace.
- Followed https://redhat-developer.github.io/service-binding-operator/userguide/getting-started/quick-start.html for creating database instance and sprint rest app
- Create a service binding between sprint rest app and postgres.
- Application injection and update status section shows as false and no service application bound.
In order to get the status of service binding I had to route to the administartor view,go to installed operators and service binding operator and get the status details showing me that the application was not bound.
There was nothing on the topology view which should have suggested an unsuccessful binding experience .
I have the following suggestions :
- A colour code showing whether the binding was successful or not
- Get The status conditions of service binding in the connector details .CheckBinding.png shows the details of the service binding status.
- Can the logs for service binding resource be displayed whether the binding is successful or not
The main idea being the end user should be notified of an unsuccessful connection and know the status details of the service connection in topology view itself.
