    Description

Proposed title of this feature request

      • Support deploying OCP in “GCP Service Project” while networks are defined in “GCP Host Project”.

What is the nature and description of the request?

      • Enable OpenShift IPI Installer to deploy OCP in “GCP Service Project” while networks are defined in “GCP Host Project”
      • “GCP Service Project” is from where the OpenShift installer is fired.
      • “GCP host project” is the target project where the deployment of the OCP machines are done.
      • Customer using shared VPC and have a distributed network spanning across the projects.

Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

      • Customer current has to spinup a separate “Bastion Host” on the same “GCP Host Project” everytime to spinup GCP which is a hassle and not so cost effective solution . Customer wants to use just one project to spin up all of their clusters in GCP.

Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla?

      • No, I could not find one.

Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target?

      • OCP 4.9+

Is the sales team involved in this request and do they have any additional input? No

List any affected packages or components.

      • openshift installer

Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented?

      • Yes
