    Description

      1. Proposed title of this feature request
Support for Multi vCenter without shared storage

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?
In kubernetes verison 1.9 multi vCenter support was added as per https://vmware.github.io/vsphere-storage-for-kubernetes/documentation/prerequisites.html. Problem is that it requires shared storage between the two data-centers which is not something that is provided in most of these cases. It would be nice if multiple work-spaces can be defined with the different vCenters to have storage created in one of the given vCenter (based on a StorageClass). That way, one would have the same functionality as available with EBS in AWS, where storage can only be available within one given availability zone.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
Various VMWare offerings don't include shared storage but offer multiple vCenter. It's therefore possible to configure VMWare Cloud-Provider but have the limitation that storage provisioning can not be used as Storage can only be provisioned via one vCenter

      4. List any affected packages or components.
VMWare Cloud Provider respectively CSI Driver
