      1. Proposed title of this feature request
Detect and Issue Alert if Authentication fails and vSphere Credentials Contain Trailing Whitespace

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?
It is quite easy for a customer to accidentally encode a trailing line feed in the base64 encoded user name/password. From the perspective of the user, they simply updated their credentials with what appears to be a valid user name and password, only for the vCenter to report that the credentials are invalid.

The request being made in this RFE is to issue a new alert via the vsphere-problem-detector if authentication fails and there is trailing whitespace on the user name or password.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
Updating credentials can result in down time to customer workloads if they can no longer provision storage or scale machines.
Support often struggles to identify the root cause because the root cause appears to be invalid credentials; which is true; but not in an obvious way. This results in frustration for both the customer and the support team.

      4. List any affected packages or components.
