This is related to https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RFE-719

Even if the aforementioned RFE makes it to GA, administrators still will have to rely on a 3rd party remote endpoint (either written by themselves or from the list below) to export data to their favourite tool of choice:

A customer requested that we provide a fully supported way to export data from the Prometheus operator to Kafka.

That means, either RFE-719 + supporting a Kafka remote endpoint (could be in form of a container).

Or another way to export data from Prometheus and import it into Kafka.
