Upstream Camel-K team has come across an issue with Infinispan and the hotrod client properties under META-INF.

In order to avoid duplicating the IT test, if this modification fits into Camel-K needs, I would consider only changing the producer code downstream, so we would have two tests running that verify that both locations work with Infinispan.
