Quarkus should work with the latest stable and EUS OpenShift release unless we track sound reason why it is not possible. Quarkus OpenShift (via underlying Fabric8 Kubernetes client) documents that it is compatible with all OpenShift versions. Red Hat supported configurations for RHBQ specify stable OpenShift version with which we tested last release (OpenShift 4.18 for 3.20 stream). The 4.18 version is out of full support and with the next release, we will need to test OpenShift 4.20, as we expect many customers to use this OpenShift version. However, when proactively tested Quarkus 3.20 with OpenShift 4.20, we experienced Fabric8 client bump which prevents us from using Quarkus OpenShift client for deployment without manual changes.
I have put details into https://github.com/quarkusio/quarkus/issues/50778 upstream issue.
The goal of this bug ticket is to ensure that the next 3.20 release will contain fix for this issue.
