Frictionless live dashboards for Quarkus Analytics

Currently we have a variety of data sources for Quarkus Analytics (e.g Maven downloads, extension usage, build-time analytics, website analytics). There's also a variety of places to view the reports generated from these data sources (e.g. Tableau, Amplitude, etc). As well as being fragmented, these reports suffer from being hard to access and sometimes hard to interpret. In the case of Tableau, viewing requires a licence. As a workaround the Quarkus Status slide deck is produced each quarter. This deck is an excellent summary of the important data. However it requires effort to produce and is not live.
It is expected that within the next 6 months there will be a heightened interest in viewing the Quarkus numbers to understand how well the project, product, and community is developing. We expect this interest to come from many places, but most relevant to this Epic is senior stakeholders across IBM and maybe RH. These stakeholders need to be able to quickly and easily view the key Quarkus numbers. They must also be able to correctly interpret them without having someone on-hand to explain.
To meet the above requirement there needs to be a single dashboard that's:
- live updated
- Easily viewable (e.g. not behind a complex login system);
- Easy to get initial access to (e.g. doesn't require requesting a licence and justifying the expense)
- Easy to interpret (Can someone correctly interpret without Axel explaining it in a meeting?).
- Able to source data from all the current sources
A good MVP would be to show some of the key information from the Quarkus Status slide deck.
