Hi. I need some help. I don't know what's going on with my account (mclasmei), but for some reason my credentials have a very short life time (in the range of few hours). After that, authentication fails and I cannot pull my images anymore. Most of the time the error message I get on pull or login attempts is too many retries
, but I have also seen authentication related error messages. For recovery from this situation I currently need to do the following: # Open a browser.
- Log out of quay.
- Re-login using SSO.
- Go to account settings.
- Re-set password.
- Obtain a new docker login token.
- After just a few hours, go back to 1.
I don't know what's happening here so I am looking for help in debugging this.
The specific error message too many retries made me wonder if there is a misconfiguration on my side and some stale credentials are being used somewhere, causing a lock-out of my account. I tried shutting down my system/disabling local Kubernetes clusters/disabling podman/disabling registry extensions/etc. to rule this out, with no success so far. After just a short while I need to re-generate docker login credentials.
Do these symptoms ring a bell for Quay team?
Would it be possible to check log files to confirm if there really are ongoing (stale?) authentication requests towards Quay?
If not, how can we get my account back into some sane state?
Thank you
Moritz
