Currently, each time the operator reconciles the entire deployment, a new password is created for the config tool that then needs to be manually extracted from a secret. This just makes the process tedious. The ask is then to provide a method of logging into the config tool using an auth provider such as LDAP to have all passwords for Quay managed centrally by the LDAP tree.
