CentOS support, we all want it. However, previous attempts at this were a "best-effort" match against RHEL data. In Clair V2 we had reports of quite a bit of false positives from this approach.

Also CentOS is changing, with the recent announcements we are all aware of.

I think we need a research spike on if/how/when we can properly support CentOS, and if we accept that vulnerability matching will be "best effort"

prioritizing this ticket will be a bit difficult. Clair V2 has CentOS support, Clair V4 does not. PM's and CEE engineers and community members will undoubtedly bring this up until we have a proper response.
