The solver operator’s custom resource describes an infrastructure of a single optimization problem. Based on that, the operator creates problem input/output Kafka topics using the Strimzi operator and configures horizontal scaling.

The solver operator does not trigger the solver project build, consume any Kafka messages from the problem input/output topics nor does directly create or delete solver pods.
