Often planning takes a reasonable amount of time to complete.
Yes, we are solving a non-deterministic problem but often it is possible to determine the approximate polynomial time of the solution.
I move that a PUBLIC interface is needed for the progress reporting of the solution process. I would use this progress to save the current working solution, to display current progress to end user and for other scenarios I will add to this ticket as soon as I have more.
