• Go to tab Rotation
• For a specific shift, drag the lenght of the shift to make it longer.
• Click the refresh button, notice the duration change was persisted.
• Add a new shift.
• Click the refresh button, notice the new shift was NOT persisted. It would only persist if you click the save button.

That's inconsistent. Furthermore, it should be consistent with the 2 roster screens, so:

• remove the save button
• make sure that all functionally that explicitly needed to be saved is now saved immediatly
