      Description

      • Use a point system to determine how many scheduling requests an employee can make.
      • Unavailable (red) availabilities are set, in advance, strategically, from PTO requests, which can be submitted once a year.
      • They are limited by the number of PTO days (for example 20 days per year).
      • Undesired (yellow) availabilities are requested up to a some days/week in advance, tactically, the can be submitted at any time with enough notice.
      • They are limited by the points an employee has. Each request costs 1 point.
      • Points are also used for other types of requests, such as working at the same time as another employee.
      • The number of points differ per employee. How they are attained is out of scope for us, but we do need to track the number of points left over.
