As an admin-ey user who provides infrastructure for my company's teams, I need to turn my connected infrastructure (clusters, RHEL servers, and/or Edge/MicroShift devices) into a KCP Location (a chunk of infrastructure) that development teams can then use for their Dev/Stage/Prod Environments (slide 33 of vision deck)
Suggested sub-tasks
- As a group, collect any “post-MVP” ideas you remember from stakeholder discussions or existing mockups into either this Miro or the E2E Prototype Sketch file
- As a group, identify the key capabilities and flows to include, and any likely connections to other areas of the prototype
- Add and connect things in the Sketch prototype and use #wg-hybrid-console-ux to discuss connections, ask questions, and collaborate async if needed
Brainstorming starting points
- Email / Slack / External
- Overview
- Application Details
Journey brainstorming
- Examples
- e.g. I want to make a PCI-compliant Location for the Workspace/Team that's developing an app that deals with sensitive customer information
- e.g. I want to turn the 100 Edge/MicroShift/RHEL devices in my factory into a single Location that my factory dev team can target with their factory sensor application
- e.g. I want to make this set of very expensive GPU-enabled clusters/nodes into a Location so that the data science team's machine learning models can be accelerated (RHODS tie-in)
- Incorporates Shiri's Unified Cluster Inventory - Marvel
- Each KCP-enabled Cluster Details page should indicate which Location it's supporting, and which Workspaces
- Incorporates Shiri's KCP-OCM integration designs
- May also incorporate RHEL Fleet Management / Edge designs that Andy Burka is working on
