“In order to provide logs in Perses dashboards in the console, we as the Observability UI Team need to add logging support for Loki in Perses.”

Goals & Outcomes

Product Requirements:

• Allow dashboards to consume Loki as a datasource for metrics and logs
• Display a logs table as a chart in Perses dashboards
• Bring the log support upstream change down to the console
• Add logs to the explore view in Perses

Engineering/Data Analytics Requirements:

• Create the Loki datasource and logs table as Perses dynamic plugins
