If you have a selected incident X and you change the state or severity filter to a value that is not matching with incident X, the the selected incident is cleared, while the new state or severity filter is preserved. 

The expected behaviour is that the selected incident is not cleared. The user is free to add any filter condition in AND. If the conditions match no incidents, the timelines will be empty.
