We want the hosted clusters to get upgrade recommendation i.e. available updates from OSUS. User input will be the channel name.  However conditional updates is a big part of the available updates. We are not clear about how conditional updates will be evaluated in hosted cluster.

Because for managed (ROSA) hosted clusters

      • cluster monitoring operator (CMO) does not run in the control plane but the metrics available in a remote RHBOAS cluster.

      For self managed hosted cluster:

      • The cluster monitoring operator runs on the node pools.

      Discussions with hypershift team: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R8JUxmm8SnD8qzCfGmAd_TGawBMwxOyhBmurVI5Zew0/edit#

      Definition of done:

      • Break down the work in to smaller cards.
      • Estimate the work what can be done before GA of Hypershift.
