Somewhat in the space if OTA-492, but not pinned to a particular rollback target. This is more flexible, but also a bigger footgun. But it does save folks the trouble of looking up the target pullspec and using --to-image if they want to take a longer hop during testing, etc. This card is for discussing whether we think this is too dangerous or not. Personally, I think this is fine because you still need the --allow-explicit-upgrade option. And I'm ok with adding --allow-versions-from-history or other hoops to jump through in addition, if folks aren't quite comfortable with --allow-explicit-upgrade on its own.
But talking with Scott below and out of band, the consensus is that we should update oc adm upgrade --help to drop previous or. And we should also update the CVO to drop it's old history pullspec lookup.
