An OTA engineer needs to easily create a managed HyperShift monitoring environment when implementing the logic for the evaluation of conditional updates in managed HyperShift.

When implementing the new changes a new cluster needs to be created, and a new hosted cluster needs to be created. This can take up quite a time. The addition of the managed HyperShift monitoring environment should be simple and quick for repetitive development.

For example, SDE-2848 includes some tests that create a managed-like HyperShift monitoring environment.

      See: https://polarion.engineering.redhat.com/polarion/#/project/OSE/testrun?id=20230421-0832&tab=records&result=passed, https://polarion.engineering.redhat.com/polarion/#/project/OSE/workitem?id=OCP-57234, and https://polarion.engineering.redhat.com/polarion/#/project/OSE/testrun?id=20230421-0832&tab=execution&record=OSE%2FOCP-57236%241

It would be helpful to contact the appropriate teams regarding managed HyperShift and especially the monitoring behind the managed HyperShift, to acquire steps for creating such an environment. It’s possible that the steps in the mentioned links are still relevant and up-to-date.

      Definition of Done:

      • An OTA engineer is able to easily create a managed HyperShift monitoring environment in a created management cluster.
