To declare Istio’s ambient mode as a generally available feature, we need to define support boundaries, including:

• Istio sidecar-mode features that are not available or mature in ambient mode
• OpenShift platforms/integrations not supported with ambient mode
• Ambient mode features that we are not yet ready to support
