We need to put a note in the document below [1] that installing ossmc plugin must be done in the openshift-operators project where Kiali operator is installed by default. Installing this on another project (like for example the project where smcp is deployed) doesn't work, since the console plugin is never activated.

If this was suppose to work on other projects, then I will close this bug and submit one to our kiali engineering.
