If we want to allow direct traffic routing from the gateway pods controlled by the Ingress Mesh to workloads in the User Mesh, we will need to establish trust across both meshes. As we cannot make changes to the configuration of the User Mesh, this will require some user intervention. We need to figure out if and how this is achievable today, and research how to improve the user experience around this through potential upstream contributions.
