This issue covers the migration process from OSSM 2.x --> 3.0 for Kiali users. You can already run Kiali with Sail using some hack scripts but these scripts are targeted more for developers. Things to document or resolve are:

• What will the productized build for Kiali on OSSM 3.x be?
  • What upstream version(s) of Kiali will this be?
  • What versions of Istio need to be supported?
• What are the migration steps necessary to move from a 2.x Kiali to a 3.x Kiali?
  • Does a 3.x Kiali need to be backward compatible with OSSM 2.x or will there be two completely separate Kialis?
  • What secrets or integrations that were previously managed by the maistra operator that now need to be created manually? e.g. prometheus access.
• Can Kiali help users migrate from OSSM 2.x –> 3.0?
  • By providing better support for Istio revisions for example.

This just needs a blog post for 2.6 --> 3.0 migration.
