The operator currently enqueues the object for reconciliation any time anything in the object changes. This means that when the operator reconciles the object and updates the status, the object is immediately requeued and reconciled again, even though the next reconcile will not actually change any owned object.

We can probably remove this 2nd reconcile by ignoring status-only changes to the primary object.
