Dear Jenkins CSB Users,
The Data & Operations team announces that the next CSB release of
Jenkins 2.401.3 and its update center is now available on PSI OpenShift.
- Upgrade Process
To get your Jenkins instance upgraded, follow the upgrade guide[1] and
the self-service upgrade procedure[2]. If you encounter problems
upgrading, raise a ticket for D&O[3].
Note that right now, there is a previous upgrade still in progress. In
this unusual situation, we permit users to upgrade both from 2.401.1 and
2.387.1.
- Upgrade deadlines
Based on the 90-day deadlines based upon respective upstream release
dates, these are the effective CSB patching deadlines[4]:
- 2023-10-24 for users on 2.401.1
- 2023-09-13 for users on 2.387.1
- Notable changes from previous CSB release
- Security upgrades to Jenkins Core and plugins
- Fix: Local Development Mode will not automatically disable pipelines
enabled before casc.yaml reload. - `checkWorkspaceOnSlave` CasC option of disk-usage-plugin is deprecated
and prevents Jenkins from starting, it must be replaced with
`checkWorkspaceOnAgent`.
See the upgrade guide[1] for a full list of changes between the releases.
