Currently as part of the pre-requisite fetching PR here the SMCP CRD has been added to the test/CRD directory directly. To future proof this and ensure it stays up to date, we should implement some similar thing to how we fetch CRDs in `odh-project-controller` - see how it's done in the generate rule here.
