The bssl-compat library is currently built with the OpenSSL macro OPENSSL_SUPPRESS_DEPRECATED defined, to prevent compiler warnings about calling deprecated functions.

This story should remove the use of all deprecated OpenSSL functions, and remove the OPENSSL_SUPPRESS_DEPRECATED definition from the compile.
