Kiali shows the error 

 0. Create a DeploymentConfig in a namespace that is part of the mesh. 

 1. Create a Gateway, VirtualService, and DestinationRule

 2. Check the error shown in kiali.

3. Edit the kiali object:

spec:
 [...]
  istio_namespace: istio-system
  kubernetes_config:
    excluded_workloads:
    - CronJob
    - Job 

 4. Restart/Delete the kiali pod, but the error message is still shown.
