Similar to the bug opened for Kiali - OSSM-3873 - for Jaeger the ingress.host has not been implemented in the SMCP. Therefore there is no way for customers to configure a different host for the Jaeger route and this can break customers' router sharding implementations.

Apart from adding to operator api when configuring jaeger we will need to add the respective entry in the jaeger CR in the maistra-operator helm resources
